Nurul Haque Nur Seriously Injured in Kakrail Clash, Now in ICU at Dhaka Medical

Gonodhikar Parishad president and former DUCSU VP Nurul Haque Nur sustained critical injuries during a violent clash in Kakrail late Friday night. According to eyewitness accounts, he was severely beaten during a law enforcement operation in front of the Jatiya Party headquarters.

Nurul’s condition is described as life-threatening—his jawbone is fractured, his nose severely injured, and bleeding inside the brain has been reported. He was first rushed to a nearby private hospital but later transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Doctors stated that his condition remains critical. A new CT scan is being conducted to assess whether the internal bleeding has increased or stabilized. To ensure proper treatment, the hospital authorities have formed a special medical board consisting of senior specialists.

Party leaders claimed that the excessive use of force by the security forces during the clash left Nur in this grave state. They condemned the incident and demanded accountability for those responsible.

At present, Nurul Haque Nur is under intensive observation in the ICU, with doctors warning that the next 48 hours will be the most crucial for his survival.
